Great journey and collection. Like seeing the progression that collectors go through and how tastes change. Makes me feel less nuts...

What a collection, all pieces are truly stunning. You have really great taste. Signing up at watch forums is dangerous :)

That bluesy look like it has had a good life. You should dedicate a thread to it, I bet you have stories to share involving it. Was it your daily driver for 20 years?!

Agree Mark, toast is ways evolving but there is a consistent sense of somehow getting closer.

Thank you very much.
the bluesy indeed lived a full life, on my wrist in love and in war, happy and sad, victory and defeat. IMHO the reason for owning such a luxury.

Absolutely great post! Really enjoyed reading this one.

I'm curious to see what you replaced the Daytona with. Another Rolex? I just ordered an NIB 116520 through David this morning, should arrive tomorrow afternoon. Had one a few months back, flipped it, and found myself missing it from my weekly rotation.

I am curious to see also Gus...
I love how suspense is created by yourself and some other members on TRF
It makes the unveiling all the more special

On the wrist

I am thinking it throws a bit of fun into the collection and it's a pretty cool watch.
Never considered it until I had a chance to handle one at a local watch geeks night out :

I hear you! My 5712G just got after 9 months away. NINE MONTHS!!! My Lange 1 took less than a third of that time. I'm likely selling the 5712 just because I think that length of service time is unacceptable.

This is certainly why they are opening additional school/training programs around the world. They need more resources to handle the workload.

A guy could die of old age waiting for his watch to come back:)
Nice to have them back

Congrats Gus, you sure don't mess around.

It's funny the Daytona and Aquanaut are high on my list and you keep selling them!

And

It's not really my fault... It's all David's fault.

I seriously couldn't even read the Daytona with a flashlight

Daytona is so nicely made and fit really well but the dial was impossible for me.

Aquanaut is a beauty but just wasn't getting any wrist time, I think it was more of a situational decision. :)

AP is a great watch, just didn't suit my needs as well as the 5711 Nautilus.
