IMO, giving you a ten year time-frame is essentially saying that you aren't on any list and you won't be getting the Daytona from them.
I would keep looking. |

First of all Asia still follow Rolex rules of no marked up price, unless your "AD" isnt really an Authorized Dealer. Dealers who does that will be blacklisted by Rolex.
The waiting period/lists is BS, AD would always prioritize VIP clients, whoever is on the waiting lists can wait their turn. A friend of mine waited 3months for a black dial Daytona, 6months later his boss waited 1 day for another black Daytona. I waited 1month and 3 weeks for my BLNR, when the waiting period was supposedly 1year. |

Back in 2013, didn't wait. Went in, bought it and left. As easy as that.

experience will vary by location, timing, economy at that time, and a host of other factors. having a good relationship with an AD always helps but is no guarantee.
for example, i believe some ADs abide by the list. but, at the time the watch is available, prospective buyer declines, then they call the next one on the list, until the watch is sold. it may be the case that you are 20th in line, but, if the other 19 declined because the money is not ready, the 20th person who expressed last week, gets the watch. |

Pretty much. I agree with this. Build a relationship with an AD, almost have to befriend them and show how badly you want the watch.

That's the SS model yes. 116520 white dial, predecessor of the ceramic 116500. Was my Grail watch back then and still is. Than you for your comment. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone X using Tapatalk
