It's your watch. Not the AD's. Do with it as you see fit. These things cost too much money to be stuck with something you don't love. And besides you can break even - if not make a couple of bucks - in the process. Could help make up for some losses you may have taken on other sales. So why not?

Your word should be your bond, apart from any consideration of what is legally binding or not. Many things are legal but just plain wrong. It doesn't matter about what the other person thinks or who they are. This is a character test, ultimately. Does your word mean anything to YOU? If so, you can't just flip it and rationalize it away.
I think this can easily be handled by an in-person visit to the AD as a courtesy to let them know you have had buyer's remorse and need to sell the watch. They can't stop you so they'll appreciate the effort you went to in order to try to keep your word and no normal human being would want you to be stuck with a purchase this big if you don't love it. Meet them half way by showing up. You might find they appreciate the respect you will be showing them and you'll feel better having tried to square things with them, I guarantee it. Win/win. |
