Awesome! But clearly there was no wait list, or the entire list passed.

They’re certainly not watches that sit on the shelves, but I don’t know if I’d call them rare. Perhaps the meteor dial more so than the Daytona though. I think any AD would be more than happy to order those! Not trying to burst your bubble, but also don’t want you to be disappointed to find out down the road they’re not as rare as you thought.

Congrats OP. This is kind of a weird thread. Some are happy for you, some seem to not be so much and we are even seeing strange comments like “I’m sorry for your misfortune” and “I hope that AD goes out of business”. First of all, if I have ~$80k to spend on a couple of watches, we’ll, I hope I can be as “unfortunate” as you are. Second, during this difficult time the world is going through, I am happy to see people buying and selling things. Our economy needs all of the help it can get right now and the AD sold a couple of sweet watches at MSRP (I’m assuming). I don’t wish anyone to go out of business, especially not at this time.. geez.

Congrats again, OP. Those are two AMAZING pieces. The meteorite on the GMT is really cool and I like the bit of flash the diamonds provide on the Daytona. You’ve also just got a couple of precious metal models, one on an Oyster bracelet and one on Oysterflex, so that’s pretty damn cool. Those two examples really couldn’t be much different from one another and I’d say you’ve got your bases covered for a while!

Congrats! Beautiful watches. I love the look of the meteorite pepsi but sadly it doesn't work for my middle aged eyes. In 3 of 4 pics posted I have absolutely no idea what time it is (at a glance). Nice pick up though, enjoy.

I do believe they are indeed rare, however, the demand is also lower for these. I would suspect mainly due to price

2 great watches. AD owes you for buying 2 expensive watches in this market.

Wear in good heath. Stay safe.

Meteorite is really rare as I talked to 3 ADs and all 3 never got any yet. One ad is allocated for 1 but that make it 1 in 2 years

Well said, thank you and to all of the people here who actually see the positives.

I wasn't going to stoop down to respond to the negative folks but here's my last thoughts on this.

There are many ways to welcome or just provide opinions towards an individual in life that truly shows their character. The ones that just wanted to poke fun and bully people from their thin monitors are the ones who have issues beyond TRF to begin with. Sad, we see these types of actions all over social media and children suffer from continued poor influences from their parents or people they think are the ones who are providing good examples -- they are the ones who are misfortuned!

I am not going to address the other super weak comments, but calling someone gullible, with bad mentorship, having misfortune, and wanted an AD to go out of business needs attention from poor taste.

Gullible - you must've forgotten when you were first starting out, you get a lot of FAKE NEWS, don't know who to believe until you start digging more. In this level, yes I heard and listened to the AD's known misinformation to do business. I've bought watches before this acquisition and I know how they work as well. I am not a Rolex guru and obviously I wasn't the only target so why the negative comments? Hence I connected with my mentor who I highly respect to verify -- it was green light in so many ways.

Mentorship - people laugh about mentors? You must have to go through life the hard way and not get too far -- sorry. Every successful person has a mentor, a person they look up to young or old who has better information and experience than them -- this is beyond watches -- to elevate in life. If you've never had one, get one. I've had priceless advice about real estate, finance, business and watches.

Misfortune - really? I mean really? C'mon really? $15K and up easy in equity on these two watches even after worn? Really? Misfortune? Let's go back to 2008 when the market was insanely bad, people who were able to capitalize are now sitting on a pile of cash flow. All the laughers saying they're seeing Daytonas in cases and don't buy but can are fools because when will that happen again? When the market is back up, the buyer and AD are all winners. I will eat my own words if you can go to any AD right now, see my exact pieces and pull the trigger in cash! Yes, how RARE is that? Indeed pretty much recession proof getting it below MSRP and no tax!

AD's going out of business - well that's freaking sad. Why would you want a person's life to go down in the drain and suffer? Don't you get your watches from ADs? Don't you want MSRP? Where the hell would you get them? What if someone says I hope you get laid off from your job because you're sales tactic isn't welcomed by your buyers who still buys from you -- or simply doesn't agree because they are not doing what you're doing which is selling. At the end of the day the world runs in business and profits. You yourself is a business working for a boss who pays your salary. You negotiated to be in your position -- you're a salesperson.

To close, it's all about MINDSET! Switch it, learn it and clear your lenses and look at things in life a different way rather than the normal/unprogressive thinking who you chose to keep you down -- NOT elevate you at all. You need a mentor.
