Great video Wes. I dig the accent. So much so that I had my bride listen. It was cool to be mentioned from all the way over there. Thanks for that.

Arrghhh! I'm dyin' over here.... the computer's acting weird - and I can't get any sound on Wes' video. Dave put some parental controls on the computers and I think it's got a few bugs to be worked out. He's working late tonight, too. Even my 12 year old couldn't figure out what was wrong.

Good evening Michelle! I'm at Trois-Rivières for the week so I won't see my girlfriend right now, it will probably go to Saturday.

Whew! Rebooted the computer and got to listen to Wes and the piano. At first I was all, "Squeee! He wished me a happy birthday!!!!" But then the song started... and the world seemed to stop for a moment. So lovely, just so lovely.

Thanks, Wes. You have a gorgeous voice!

Good morning coffeeshop! Wes- it's not about kindness so much,(although i think we are all a nice bunch of people); We all really do appreciate you and your talent; your music, and your posts-( and now your voice!)- An otherwise ordinary day can turn into an exceptional one on the days you post a music vid!

PS- can i request something?-On your next voice over....could you say "Blimey" for me?....that is such an iconic British word! Like the Canadian "Eh?"!

Wes, thank you and to everyone here.....Thank you for your kind wishes and concern. Now that plant life is slowing down in the gardens and frost(s) will be coming very soon...things are winding down and I will have more time to spend here and catch up on everyones' lives.......music is a universal language which is beautiful and when someone with your talent shares his gift it becomes special.....we all have gifts to share with mankind and one of mine is the gift of growing plants and creating lasting gardens and landscapes. Someone asked me this year if I could create parks and Botanic Gardens and I said yes, because I can see what it will look like into the future whether it be 5 years or 75 years and I can look at plants and know what they need.....

Leo and Michelle, you were able to put into words exactly the feelings that Wes' music evokes. We need more beauty like this in the world.

Hey Lisa.....how did your climbing roses do this year?
And to all...this week I am preparing a lecture for a program at the local Garden Club for their meeting a week from tonite. I plan on beginning by covering Basic Horticultural Principles and explain the four key areas for proper growth of all plants.....
Take it easy.....Leo

I have always enjoyed flowers and growing all kinds of plants(the pictures I posted are from our gardens) so I got my degrees in Horticulture(Plant and Soil Science) and Landscape Design. If you are ever in the Chicago area I can take you up to the Chicago Botanic Gardens as they have amazing gardens and greenhouse collections. It's fun to walk around even in the winter and there is more to see then you can take in in one day.....
Take it easy.....Leo

Yay - awaiting Wes' next bit of magic.

Leo - I need your advice, sir. I understand that early fall is a good time to transplant peonies. Mom and Dad had a nice stand of them; several plants each of pink, white and red. I want to dig up some of each color (all of them, if possible, to give to friends and neighbors as well as for my own beds) but found this morning that the soil was too dry and hard to get much out of the ground. Each plant has several long, tap-like roots and they kept breaking off in the soil. I was able to get several root pieces with the fresh buds on them (next year's new growth, right?) but didn't know how much of the root there needed to be with the bud portion.

We're supposed to get some rain later this week so I'll try again after that. Should I really try to get the entire root/rhizome system out of the soil? All of the long roots and everything?

So Michelle and I were talking... seeing as how Carl and Wes have been brave enough to let us not only enjoy their music but their voices as well, Michelle thought it might be fun for us to post a little vid of our own voices as a show of our appreciation. So here goes... and I'm already embarrassed.
