Congrats. Overall I prefer the look of the SubC date apart from the lugs. The SD wins on case and lugs hands down.

Congratulations!

Some of the other new owners have commented that the SDc sits lower on the wrist than the SD. In the photo though, it almost seems like the caseback is thicker/sticks out more on the SDc. Is that the (no pun intended) case?

Would be nice to see side by side wrist profile shots, of you have time for reference.

Cheers!

The end links are bad no way I'll be persuaded otherwise but they are functional if not asthetically great, SD thicker than the sub. Lugs looks a tad thinner than subs which is good and the crown guards much better asthetically compared to the subs id say.
Looks superb great watch - Rolex put a dome on it and ill buy one.
You must be loving those bezel markings!!

From my local Rolex AD, "The Sea-Dweller 4000 is going to retail at $10,400. It still will not be in our stock until Oct /Nov"

I might have to find another country or state to purchase this SD4000

Really? I hope not true.....why would Rolex wait 5-6 months to ship to the states? Is that typical of a new model?

Yeah, I agree that would be absurd it it takes that long for thee US to get the SD4000. If that is the case I really will consider getting it from another country. Especially If Japan will have it at $1000 cheaper.

In this picture it is very clear to see the intentionality of the new end link design. Though I still prefer the classic design of the previous version, this one is already growing on me !

One question that I haven't seen asked yet: Does it come with the famous toolkit and some kind of extra (longer) diver's extension link ?

Thanks for the pictures and comparisons!
