For occasions like weddings etc I would solve the problem by just buying an Explorer 39mm and be done with it!

20 hours of flight time plus about 7 hours of a layover, but we made it. My wife and I are enjoying the pool while the bride and groom are busy with last minute items ahead of their big day.

Thanks, guys! I need a nap - 11 hour time difference from home, and I’m knackered.

Exact same thought!
You dont want your lunet/bezel ruin your best shirt.
And platona has 100m water resistant. So your planning playing in water wouldnt harm.

Most of all enjoy!

LVc was a great option, but having the GMT has already been useful. It’s a great and practical complication, and this SS BLRO is my first owned GMT, so breaking it in.

The Platona was a close second. But a SS GMT was very practical and useful for this trip.

Thanks, John! Final destination involves a small flight tomorrow, so making the most of today at the pool.

This is exactly why I want an Explorer. Dressy enough but also not too sporty.
