The spotlight of Baselworld 2019 will be for the new SS sportmodel release.
The only distribution channel is the AD. So this steel watch will be unobtainable for non-VIPs or non-greys. But I hope I am wrong.
I will focus on the TT ceramic release of 2019, i hope for a TT YG Daytona with a blue ceramic bezel and blue dial.

Another good point.

If a ceramic TT Daytona is released with blue bezel and dial, I think it will be one of the few TT watches going over MSRP. So far only non black ceramic bezel on Daytonas is the Platona. So I can't imagine them doing colored bezel on SS or TT before PM, although it has been done with GMT that first received BLNR and only then WG version of BLRO.

I think you're right. Rolex is holding off on these TT Ceramic Daytonas as long as they can. Ultimately, selling more OF Daytonas. Next step is Ceramic TT to increase profits over SS. SS will continue to price in the same range imo. Best thing about TT releases, is usually some more interesting dials. The SS Daytona and limited dials and availability is getting kind of old to be honest. They need to at least offer Ceramic TT Daytonas to gain some goodwill from their client base. Waiting 5 years for a SS Daytona, just doesn't cut it. What Rolex is missing out on is the younger to middle age professional that isn't buying PM yet, but can't get their hands on SS Sports models. If they're smart they'll change that before the demographic shifts in the next gent and all those with disposable income have a bad taste in their mouth.

No predictions for what might be coming out at Basel this year, or if I will want anything from it, but I did have a conversation with my SA/AD yesterday about it.
For the first time since they opened three years ago, only previous customers will be invited to the wait list for Basel releases. Each SA will get to choose four of their clients and the aim is to make the list no longer than what they expect to be able to deliver within two years. In the past they let anyone on (past clients first) but the lists got silly long, they don’t want to do that anymore.

Released on the 16th March.

Will they do the same again this year?

42mm and 21mm bracelet is basically a SD43. Maybe Rolex will add a dial option such as a D Blue style gradient for the SD43

Probably. They've done teasers for a specific upcoming release for at least the last three Baselworlds (as far back as Instagram goes). In 2018, it was the Pepsi GMT. In 2017, there were two teasers for the SD43. And in 2016, they did two teasers for the Daytona C.

Applying the same logic this year. i.e. 6 days before Baselworld then this forum will be going into meltdown in 10 days time

I was really hoping those Daytona teasers at the time were for a new Cellini complicated Chronograph. Still hoping, but would be just as nice if Rolex releases a Split Seconds sports model or even an Annual Calendar Chronograph that is Sky D influenced. The Regatta Chronograph is cool, but others could be much more useful. That's my hope for this year again so hoping to see another chronograph teaser

Rolex did it last year with the GMT Master II rootbeer.
Released a new bezel CHNR on PM and TT.
Also the 126711 CHNR is now selling a bit above MSRP.
So I keep my fingers crossed for the TT DaytonaC with any color different then black.

Yes they did release CHNR in both RG and TT. But they did have colored bezels in WG before, although agreed they also did the Batman before the BLRO WG so there is that.

As for CHNR going over MSRP, I'd say it does go slightly over, but not crazy over, and I would assume the WL aren't crazy. Filipucci in Maastricht had one at like 1k over retail and they had it for more than a month according to their website.

Saw a new dial color today for a PM SkyD. According to the rep it's a new color combo to be announced at Baselworld 2019. I have a picture, but don't want to get the rep in trouble.

If the BLNR is truly retired...I say a bi-color gmt replaces it.

Coke or another combo. Black and green maybe?

The all dark blue Sub looks interesting...but I’m generally not. A fan on Ceramic Subs.

I popped into my AD this afternoon and he mentioned that the Pepsi will be discontinued, and the Coke will replace it. He was absolutely certain of this.

Yes, I am aware that this is simply more AD hearsay. I wanted to fan the flames of the Coke fanboys on this thread. Would be pretty cool if they brought back the Coke and he was right, but I’m not holding my breath.

Sorry for the double post, but he also mentioned that the green sapphire in the Milgauss will no longer be offered too, and he seemed to think a new Milgauss configuration was coming.

I’ve had 2 ADs in 2 different cities tell me the BLNR and the Hulk are discontinued
Can’t confirm they won’t be reissued with new movements but neither thought this for 2019

Black/green would be amazing. I wonder if it’s too soon to see a coke just a year after the Pepsi release. Or maybe Rolex will just update the blnr with a new movement and not do much else lol.
