Finally a nice enough day outside (41*F) to install the chrome pieces I got for Christmas. There is a chrome cover for the radiator cap, chrome radiator grill and chrome radiator cover.
It looks much nicer than the plain old black painted metal doncha think?
I even got to throw a quick 10 miles on it before I got too cold.

That chrome looks real good Bill. We are having one of the coldest wettest winters in ages. I ain't been near my bike for months. Think it needs the chain greasing and oil changing, prob some other bits as well. I know I should be able to do this myself, but think will drop it into the garage cos I'm lazy.

We took the Falcon downtown, got permission from the local pizza place to park outside their building, and sold Girl Scout cookies from the car. Phoebe and June arranged them across the hood, Dave brought folding chairs, and we had a great time people-watching along Broadway Avenue. Lots of people took pics of the car. Sold most of our cookies, too.

Art, I'd like a bowl of that soup about now - looks really good.

Sounds like a great day Lisa, hope the girls made loads of money. Still don't think we get these cookies here. Maybe I should import them. In fact the boys here are called cubs and scouts. And the girls are the girl guides.

I remember having to say this at every meeting.

I've been shoveling mucky compost onto the garden area this afternoon. There is a strange aroma of manure wafting from somewhere on my person... strange, as there was no manure in the compost.

I don't know what's happening to my world.

My brother was a Cub Scout. I think once they reached age 10 or 11 they advanced to Boy Scouts.

With girls, they start as Brownies in first grade (age 6 or 7). At age 10, they become Girl Scouts.

Just read Baden Powell was a friend of Rudyard Kipling's, and used his Jungle Book as a major influence for when he started cub scouts. Remember the leaders having the character names.
