Wow, that was a good outcome Don.

Was the chain clip joined or riveted?

Well saved mate!

Have to say though, that, that chain looks a tad dry. The feint red hue, on both the chain, the wheel and tyre, is a clue.

Wow, thankfully a rare event, only the second time I've ever seen that in many years of riding. Good job keeping it upright!

Thinking about selling the Scrambler. I don’t do much around town riding and the GS is just so much better for all day rides. Not sure I can have a garage without a Ducati in it though, since I’ve had at least one for the last 20+ years, and as many as 4 at certain points in time.

Those GS spokes are wild! I've never seen that before.

They’re designed for tubeless tires. BMW has been using that kind of spoke on the GS’s since the mid 90’s.

Owner of a '19B here. When I was purchasing my B I was all over the GS - I wish I'd chose to adventure ride earlier in life.

Oh yeah I'm a straight up lunatic sometimes. I like to do things that scare me a little. Took the Kawi to COTA in Austin and did 150mph in the rain. Bike was all over the place and I was practically blind. Crazy!
