Good morning all!

Just wanted to say hi while I am eating breakfast, I am working today (a pretty long day, 9 hours and 15 minutes...) but tomorrow I only start at 3 in the afternoon and since Monday is Quebec's National Day (the Saint Jean-Baptiste day) we all have a day off and we will therefore enjoy a good beer!

Good for you Wes, but make certain that couch doesn't cause you sores on your butt(side). And remember pushing buttons on the remote does not count as exercise!!!

Time to get outside to do some work in the Gardens...as long as the Mosquitos are still asleep!!! LOL!!!

Take it easy(Oh, that's right you are...LOL!!!)..... Leo

You are much smarter than me. Working hard and long does not equal smart.

Work brings honor and credibility. People who don't work and contribute to the system but collect a check and benefits while riding bicycles and playing on the internet have no honor. They have no credibility. They are freeloaders. I also know of two 'men' who are 'disabled' that stand around at baseball fields for hours and hours watching games, chatting up the coaches. Are they really unable to work entirely or only at their previous profession? Surely they can retrain. No, they are on permanent vacation for life.
They're not respectable men to admire. They're like children - asking to be taken care of. We all suffer maladies some worse than others. All I ask for is personal integrity and that those who can care for themselves do their best to uphold their responsibility to contribute in whatever way they can and earn their keep.
Welfare fraud and disability fraud is rampant. Thankfully its supposedly on the decline due to tougher regs but for those that got in the system 30 years ago when it was easy and are grandfathered in I have no tolerance. Thieves. They're all around.

Generic advice.

PLEASE USE THE "IGNORE MEMBER" FUNCTION CERTAIN PEOPLE.

Carl, because I want to be just like you I'm thinking of bidding on this Keytar. Then we can rock it out together on stage bud

Think it needs a strap, you got one spare?

Not to get back into the subject but if my jokes from this morning offended anyone I do apologize.

Funny you should say that, I do have a few indeed! Let me know if you really need one, I'll see what I can do.

So what is a keytar? An unholy cross of keyboard and guitar?

Morning all. Just a snap before I go back to being lazy again. This morning's harvest, which will make its way onto the table tonight: broccoli, small onions, peas, spinach, and a really cool variety of kale called Tuscan kale.

As you can see it's not big quantity, but I can harvest this amount (of most of it) daily, for a while.

The payoff indeed, plus the meditational and physical upsides of growing things.

One day it occurred to me that I'm both the chatelaine--the mistress of the chateau--and the toiling peasantry around here. Something got screwed up with that...

How's everyone's weekend going?

Nice veggies J, homegrown must taste lovely.

The keytar is one of the sweetest instruments of all time. Very underrated. Used quite a bit by euro bands of the 80's. Held like a guitar, the upper hand can bend the note, so you can play some kick ass solo's.

J, I did buy something turquoise at Ogg's...but for the mantle this time instead of my wrist. Please ignore the ugly hotel chair background.

Bummer.
On a good note my boy pitched 2 innings of the last game with 5 strikeouts.

Oh, oh, oh, my fainting heart. So wonderful. Wasn't Ogg's great? Jeff is a really nice guy once you can get him to talk. It's where I got my spectacular Zuni cluster bracelet.

I love vintage cowboy boots! Great score.

Lisa, you have to fill us in on your adventure. What a gorgeous spot! More please.

Bill, congrats on the good pitching in your family. Gotta love baseball in the summer. Our area AAA Minor League is not doing well but I still love going to the game.

Ill have to post another pic when we get home. You need to see how really turquoise-y the color really is :-)
The owner was actually out of the store this week so we just met a couple
of ladies who were minding the store. My younger son found a pair of spurs he had to have. Knew what he was doing I guess because I found them online for a few hundred more than what he paid. :-)

You must post more pics. Or else I'm calling the turquoise squad.

Good score on the spurs! I found the prices fair, and I did get a super deal on my cuff.

Let's hear about the whole trip, if you want to share some tidbits.
