Picture taken on a standard point and shoot. Sat in the UK now! That picture is several years old now:)
As long as you keep the batteries warm in a pocket, most cameras are fine...

Traveling and watches make a great combination; similar to cars and watches :)

Btw - toomuchtalk - it's a pity that you didn't get as nice a photo in the pics taken in Antarctica :( It would've made a lovely backdrop for the watches :)

Do you usually opt for a watch with the GMT function when you're on an expedition? I see you've used the GMT2c and two different ExpII's. Makes sense. I love seeing "tool watches" actually being used as tools.

Sorry, been following the forum for a while, and thought the 'compete collection' idea was good. Didn't think I'd need to prove it with pictures; so was a bit taken a back by the reception...so my apologies.

Yep, pictures of the watches are poor. Weren't the biggest priority. And I am not a Rolex ambassador :(

Yes. I use the second time zone for the time back home. In Antarctica 'local time' is set on Chilean time. The second time done is set to GMT. Don't really use it to tell night from day though.
The explorer 2 is more useful than the explorer as it has the date.
Also it's slightly better than the GMT as the bezel is fixed, the GMT bezel can get stuck sometimes.

This is super interesting. I never even thought about what time zone would be used there. Standing directly at the pole, you could be considered to be in all time zones at once. Do you use Chilean time because most expeditions depart from there?
