To further complicate matters, in my single car bay there is a structural beam running right through the middle of that bay, about a foot down from the ceiling. I did some measurements and my convertible sits about 4 feet 8 inches off the ground. I could easily do the summer configuration where my various items are stored above the car. As far as the winter configuration goes, if I store the car with the top down and a car cover on it to keep dust and shit out of the car, then I can raise the lift much higher without that section of the roof getting in the way of the track. I just don't know if it's OK for a fabric top convertible to be stored all winter with the top down. This might be a good subject for a thread over on the garage journal forum. I am sure there are guys over there who have had to trouble shoot situations like this before. What is the consensus on garage floor epoxy versus floor tiles? |

I think you'll find that 9' ceiling will be a showstopper even with the top down...the windshield will still be there and with the thickness if the runways you will be lucky to have 4 feet under the lift. But as you'll find, if the area above is attic there are sissor trusses or pan ceiling trusses that can locally raise the ceiling. At some point you might just have to move. ![]() Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk ![]() |

Not to worry. Easy fix. The garage door tracks can be brought up towards the ceiling. You can get the tracks to hang down only 6inches. They will do this by changing the curve part of the tracks and elongate the straight up tracks. Then obviously you need a wall mount garage door opener. If you need pictures I can snap some when I get home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just got confirmation. Paid a deposit months ago. But apparently it was still up in the air.
I’ll be getting one of the last V12’s ever produced. The last Lamborghini Aventador ever. About 100 coming to the US, out of 350 in total. 6 month wait. It’ll go fast. Time seems to fly these days. Not likely to drive it too much. But I’ll most certainly be putting some miles on this sucker. Feel very lucky. It’ll be worth double by it’s 3 year anniversary. Pics when it happens.

I am getting a Bendpak HD9 ST installed in a few weeks. I also put in a high lift door opener. If your garage is longer, you can drive the car further in to give yourself a bit more space. Another trick is to set the door not to open all the way up. And back up the top car so that the garage door is over the hood, which is lower I put epoxy coating on the existing concrete base. I also bought wheels on the lift to give myself the option to move the lift around a bit to fine tune the position. I will be stacking 2 low cars and it will be tight. |

Added this one to the collection. Wasn’t on my radar until I took my Raptor to the dealership for a sunroof squeak, ended up being an expensive trip. This is my first American mussel car, looking forward to experiencing the HP

Can’t compete with most of the cars posted on this thread, but I adore my little Aston and it will stay with me forever. I’ve tried so many different cars and I’ve finally found my soul mate!
It’s an N400 so a limited run of 240, albeit in reality it was just Aston emptying their parts bin before launching the 4.7! I’ve had a few things done to it, twin plate clutch and lightweight flywheel, primary Cat removal, 200 cell Cats, glass button kit, Apple carplay, reversing camera etc. As i said, arguably not a patch on some of the cars posted here, but I wanted a Vantage from the day it was first announced and it suits me perfectly. It’s my daily driver although i have a pickup for the rough stuff! ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The sound is crazy good! And although now louder and deeper, it hasn’t lost the V8 tune. I love the way it offers surprise and delight with occasional crackles and pops, I had an F-Type for a while and it cracked and popped all the time, to the point where it became a little annoying, whereas the Vantage does it far less frequently and you never know when it’s coming! It’s Sport-shift, so an automated (or robotic?) manual. I never use it in automatic mode though as you need to lift off a little for smooth gear changes (because the clutch is being engaged), which is difficult if you don’t know when the car is going to change gear! So I drive with the paddles all the time, but unlike automatic cars with paddles, there is a skill in doing this well in the Vantage because of the timing and amount of lift-off. Arguably it’s a flawed design, but I love it because it requires Driver skill to get right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
