Having said that, it looks great, particularly on the blue rubber.

I think he may have meant the guy that had two/sold one...as I recall he had it listed on TimeZone for $5800-ish...

There are 2, but they were not produced concurrently.

The original was a 42mm limited edition of 1948 that kind of tested many of the features of the new planet oceans (ceramic bezel, white filled luminous). It was made of steel. It also had a ceramic dial which has not been done since.

The current is a 45.5mm non limited Titanium model with blue dial and bezel. It is way too large for me, but the weight is perfect due to the titanium. I have small wrists (6.5") so even the 42mm is a bit large for me.

Also the 42mm was black dial/bezel and is the one you see in this thread for the most part, while the new version is blue/blue and, as ralpie points out, does not have a ceramic dial.

Accuracy so far of this thing is phenomenal...I got it late in the day on the 22nd and promptly set it to USNO with the iPhone Emerald & Sequoia ap; it gained a few seconds over the first week, but since righted itself and is now staying spot-on. The Daytona is the only mechanical I've ever owned that's been capable of similar accuracy, it'll be interesting to see how this battle unfolds. :)

The 45mm PO I've got is also excellent, within a second a day, but this one seems like it was "dialed in" a bit more, or I just got lucky...whichever, it's very impressive!

USD5,750. It was BNIB. Since you are from Malaysia, you probably would have seen my listing on MWF.

I have just develop an interest in this model, thus, was not on a lookout for it. Otherwise, it would been an easy deal. Hopefully I will be able to find one if my interest continues to grow

I am very keen on the LM LE model. There are virtually none available on the resale market right now though.

Has anyone heard any rumors of the next generation of LM watches from Omega. I do very much like the Titanium version but would much prefer a 42mm version w/ Black bezel/dial..... I know it wouldn't be LE but I'm cool with that. If such a model came out I would buy it for sure.

Do you guys wear your LM LE's as daily wearers/beaters or is that a no no with this Limited Edition?

I wouldn't classify it as a beater, but it can take a beating; I've owned the 45 mm PO for five years now, and it's built like a tank. Having said that, while I woudn't shy away from wearing the LE everyday, I wouldn't use as a beater/bang one it up given its popularity and relative scarcity...but then, I'm anal-retentive like that.

Best part is that the new owner doesn't even know, as it is his wife purchasing it as a gift for him (not a forum member, so I'm not spoiling the surprise).

Good for him!

So what do you plan on getting with the proceeds?

Not sure, to be honest I was trying to find this watch for so long, I neglected my other searches. Still wishing it fit better for me. I saw a 44mm 18k Speedy with ceramic Bezel while in France. Too big/expensive for me, but a beautiful watch nonetheless.

I really love the 38mm 36'000 VPH Zenith with the tricolor subdials, but the price is more than I'd like to spend right now.

Maybe once the funds come through for this I'll have a better answer!

I wear mine every day and two years on, apart from a few swirlies on the clasp, it looks like new.
