Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao has excellent taste in watches:

he's also got a couple of limited Patek and quite a number of Rolex watches

I think a man of his calling could do without the diamonds.

I don't care that much about it really. To each his own, but diamond-encrusted DDs just seem to scream "pimp". Maybe that's the image some guys are looking to project ?

I like quiet Rolex watches that is why I have a 1601 authentic with no bling on it.

BTW: Could you see me drilling a safe with bling on my watch, I would be teased by all the military folks in San Diego.

BTW: Good morning David.

Excuse my ignorance on this one, but what did you mean?

I like bling. I think each person sees it differently. One sees a pimp. One sees a jewelry enthusiast. One sees it as gaudy. I love jewelry. I have many chains, bracelets, rings, and watches with diamonds and I like it. Like everyone says to each his own. I also like the quiet Rolex's as well. I guess, I am just that versatile in my taste for watches and Jewelry.

Anyway, the watches that pacman has are really sweet!

Is there no bling smiley? hahaha

I think it's all a matter of enviroment too, If I turned up on a building site with a 18k diamond encrusted watch of any brand I would look a plonker, SS sports models blend in nicely though. If I was at a charity or hunt ball the 18k/Diamond would look natural where a sports watch would look a little on the casual side.

Just my

I must admit that I have in the past never been into mens watches with diamonds but recently I have seen some mens rolex's with them and I do like them a lot, the way the diamonds catch the light is rather wonderful.

I think this chap shows he is secure with who he is so does not care what others percieve him to be.

Now then, if I was working in a job that was rough like safetrends I too would want something simple and strong..would Be nice though to have that DD for weekends and evenings

Everyone has different taste, we can express our opinions without causing a fire storm. That is what TRF is all about getting along with others opinion and not being offended.

Excellent
I would think in your line or work as well something solid and understated like a tool type rolex would make someone feel more confident in using your services. I know it it were me and I had someone do some work of a security based nature and they showed up wearing A ss Rolex I would think heck this guy cares about the details!

Exactly, I wasn't offended in the least, I just didn't understand his wording. Everyone's opinions are important. I meant no such firestorm to come of it.
I understand especially in work environments (such as yours safe)

I am just saying what I like. And because someone else doesn't, it does not mean they are any worse or better than me, just have a different opinion.
We are all friends Safey!

I was just commenting that's all.

If I caused a fire storm, sorry about that.

I meant it with all the respect and honor in the world!

Wow, I'm thinking of starting a new career as a troll.

Hey, I'd be a good one too !. No three little smart-assed first year punk wizards would get over on me. They'd be light snacks.

What follows is my opinion only. YMMV
There are some dress watches that I like with diamonds, especially on the dial. When you start getting into "pave"-style encrusting, they get too over-the-top for my taste, although I think Liberace probably would wholeheartedly approve.

BTW, how's everybody like them hip, sassy, Leopard Daytonas ? What red-blooded burly man's man would want to be without that ?

For someone who grew up with nothing, it's sometimes ok to show off and enjoy the sweetness of success!

Nice watch Eduardo--David--agree--no diamonds except on the dial. For me--no diamonds on the watch period unless that slate Serti Eduardo is sporting!!!

Agreed, and also for someone who just plain likes it. I wouldn't get mad at someone with a Corvette with Chrome Wheels and Chrome exhaust. Just their way of expressing themselves.

There are so many people, from so many walks of life. Diversity is a great thing, in human nature and watches!
