Is this Sub real?

I'm certainly no expert, so it may be, but I've never seen one like this before - what do you guys think? The seller has pretty solid Rolex feedback...

Gotcha - yea I saw the piece about the refinished dial...that must hurt value pretty heavily though, correct?

Big time and Rolex has and is suing people that do that for trademark infringement.

Wish Rolex did that themselves- I like the color scheme.

Aftermarket makes it a "fake", doesn't it?
Original Rolex parts but on the wrong watch makes it a "frankenwatch"?

I agree on that , Andreas . But we have had heated debates here on that subject . There are people that defend the use of aftermarket parts such as bracelets etc..
I believe when selling it should be clearly stated , but then Ebay may pull the listing because of that .

Right.

I use Rolex on a Nato strap now and then, but obviously I wouldn't sell a Rolex on a Nato and call it "Rolex". Better to sell just the head then, I guess.

Cheers
Andreas

eBay will never pull a Time and Gems listing. They make eBay too much money. In this case, T&G clearly states in the listing that the dial has been refinished and, that the bezel insert is custom. As for Rolex, who the h*ll are they to tell me what I can and cannot do to my watch. I bought it, own it free and clear. Some day they are going to refuse warranty work on a watch with a custom bezel and some smart lawyer is going to rightly clean their clock in a court of law.

Rolex has/will take one to court for selling a Rolex with non Rolex parts. Once it gets into the courts Rolex has deep pockets.

May be selling but they sure can't tell me what I can or can't do to my own watch.
