New watch and first post here.

I just added a Tourneau to my budding collection. :) I realize the limitations of this piece and really picked it up based on the look. Just looks great to me. Anyone know what model this is. Says 550 B on the back but I can't find that anywhere on their website. It's a quartz obviously.

Also, I seem to have found one with some sort of problem. I can't get the red second had to reset to 12:00. Odd eh? The instructions say to pull the crown out to position 2 and press the A button til the hand makes it to 12. Uh... It does not adjust the second hand. DOH! What tha? Might have to either talk to Tourneau corporate folk or return it/swap it out. Dadgum...

Glad to have found this forum. Have always had a love for watches.

Well, as I suspected there seems to be a defect with this watch. The red second hand should line up at 12:00 but even when doing a recalibration it stays at 2 minutes prior. After speaking with the head watch builder at Tourneau I must admit that I was impressed with their customer service. He was very nice and advised me of a few ways to test the movement. He gave me an address to send it to to have it manually re calibrated.

However, I think I will not take him up on that offer. Frankly, I went to the store and the other watch like this one they had did the same thing. DOH! Upon my wife's suggestion I will just apply the funds ($500) to an Omega Seamaster 2531.80. My dream watch.

It will be my first Automatic aside from the Seiko I had when I was around 12. I will be on the lookout for a good used one I think. Love the forum BTW.
