Green bezel back on the 16610 LV...nice change

I've been wearing my 16610 LV 90% of the time with the black bezel insert. Primarily due to the fact that this is my only Sub and I prefer the more versatile classic black insert. The green has always been the weekend party watch look to me and I simply don't have enough Rolexes to specify one just for weekends.

So it has been a few months since I've really worn the green bezel, so I decided to go ahead and put it back on tonight. It goes quite nicely with the maxi dial and makes the shiny bezel teeth stand out just a little more than the black.

I'm gonna try and keep the green on for a few weeks and see how it grows on me day to day.

Eric, I happen to think the green is very versatile...I can see it with a dress shirt and suit or with jeans and a t-shirt. It adds just a splash of color. Nice!

When I bought my LV, the original plan was to switch to a black insert immediately.

After a week of procrastination, I came to my senses and realized it was sacrilege to alter my baby! I now wear the green as a badge of honor!

That seems easier to do when you have another black bezel Rolex, eh?

I would love to keep my LV green, but don't think that will happen longer term until such time that I procure a Sub No Date or similar to keep me a black bezel Sub in the mix.

Right, Eric.

Although the SD and Sub really look different because of the dial size difference. But yeah, I see what you mean.

Just put my green back on also...and love it. It's great to be able to have the option.

More options = less flipping!

One of the primary reasons I have not (yet) flipped my 16610LV for a Sub-C! I don't know if swapping the ceramic inserts will be quite so easy as the anodized aluminum inserts.

The LV with a black insert is way more appealing IMHO than the new subC

I have not yet put a Sub-C on my wrist, so I don't really know. In the meantime, I will agree with you!

What bothers me about the Sub-C is how the lugs got thicker. It reminds me of wearing a wristband. But that's just me.

Here's a quick comparison of the 16610 vs 16610 LV (with black insert)

I'm starting to get fickle now on day 2 of the weekend green party watch. Not sure I want to be green. I guess Kermit the Frog said it best, "It isn't easy being green."

Not sure what it is, as the green bezel is really beautiful. It just looks a little bit unnatural to me.

Surely the only solution is to get myself another Sub in black so I can have the best of both worlds (vs. continually swapping the bezel insert on this LV).
