Strap for Pam 233

Hi Guys, I'll be getting my very first Pam in about a month...a 233. I'm looking for a real nice Medium Brown strap to go with it. After market or OEM doesn't matter.
Would appreciate your suggestions/recommendations.

A tan Jules Verne strap is always a nice option....it will patina to a nice medium brown look.

Indeed!!! All you need, say no more, look no further. Get a JV and be done with it.

I had a brain fart and forgot what the JV strap looks like. Here is a link with some pics for the uninitiated!

Amen to the JV. That's one bad a** strap! Expensive and hard to get though. Also consider the OEM Cashmere "Black Seal" strap. Nice texture and develops a nice patina over time. I sold my last Panerai about 2 1/2 years ago, but kept that strap. Still have it :)

If you can get an OEM cashmere that would be the bomb as well. If you want aftermarket you could always look at the offerings from Micah at Vintager, to me he has the best bang for the buck. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention Kevin Rogers, the original maker of the AMMO strap.

I have the JV and the Cashmere. If you really want, pm me.

I was saving it for a 233 for myself as well.

The JV must be worn with caution. It stains easier than any strap in the world!!! I have one. Water stains it. Yeah, water, like the tiny droplets that splash on your strap when you wash your hands. I'm actually kind of disappointed in it.

I agree on the stains, but the more worn they look, the more I like it, personally.

That's the whole point of the JV... It ages.

I agree with Daren and Joey. Any strap made with nubuck or suede it in will stain very easily. The JV ages very well.
