2nd Rolex in the house
Hapy New Year TRF
My wife has finally bitten the bullet and joined the Rolex Club After a LOT of thinking, and trying on many models in a variety of sizes, she's now the very proud owner of a beautiful 31mm Lady Datejust. So far, just one very poor photo from my phone - with bezel protector still in place It's hard to describe, so with the aid of a couple of pictures from the Rolex website, try to imagine it with the purple face, inset diamonds at 6 o'clock and Jubilee bracelet, but with the more traditional fluted bezel. (The purple face is less obvious than in the pictures, but in the right light it's a real head-turner.) It's a stunner! I'll try to get some better photos of the real thing soon. Andy

We had so much fun sitting for 2 hours with the salesman browsing through all the possible options in the Rolex dealer's catalogue.
I never knew there were so many possible combinations available. Fortunately, the impending rise in VAT (sales tax) helped her decide ;-)

Cheers guys
We're looking forward to seeing the family tomorrow and receiving even more disapproval. They see a Rolex as a waste of money. I see it as a lovely thing to own and be seen with, an investment, and an heirloom. I'm proud that we have a Rolex each. I'm sure we've all heard the old.... "But it's only a watch" argument

It still doesn't look purple except in daylight. Looks great though.
