rolex repair... did i get jipped?!?!?!
hello to all,
i am a new member of the forums. after doing extensive internet research i decided to send off my vintage 1970's riveted air king band to get repaired by a gentleman named michael young in Honk Kong. At first i was skeptical about sending my band all the way out there, but after exchanging a few emails and seeing other members of the forums experiences with him i decided to do so. Not only did i pay him roughly 100$ through paypal for the repair and return shipping but i mailed him my band. i havent heard from him in over a month...... im beginning to think that ive been ripped off.......... any thoughts????? |

His services are in demand, as there aren't many others who undertake vintage bracelet repair refurbishments, i expect his turnaround is (possibly a lot) longer than a month.

Chances are if he is recommended highly on this forum there is nothing to worry about. Have you tried to contact him, did he mention what his turn around time was?
Chances are if he was recommended highly on this forum you have nothing whats so ever to worry about.

Welcome to the forum!
If you have doubts, drop him a line and inquire on the status. His turn around is usually estimated at 7-12 weeks. But he is quicker than that. |

My opinion is that you have nothing to worry about. Michael just did a repair for me and it turned out great. He emailed me when I was done and I paid him at that time. I don't think he is on e-mail alot and I read that feedback and didn't get too worried when I didn't hear from him. The work sometimes takes a bit.
