sub crown and stem help
ok guys sub sd how do you split the stem from the crown ?does it just unscrew?clockwise to tighten ,anti clock to unscrew?any help welcome

They are threaded on in standard CW direction.. Sometimes a crown does come unscrewed from the stem and is lost.. One reason why some folks only wind their watch in one direction (rather than the back-and-forth motion)..
Most times they are on with loc-tite, so without taking the stem out of the watch it is not easy to simply unscrew one. ![]()

Detente the stem and crown from the movement, put the stem in a hand pin vise heat up the crown with a hairdryer and unscrew. reverse procedure. To replace the crown always use locktite on the threads. Rik
