the new explorer is nice, but, the black dial Milgauss is a personal favorite of mine. a bit of dress, a bit of sport, a bit of a splash of color. nice weight. nice hands (not to open that can of worms or anything

milgauss. for sure.. would love it even more if it were in an 'all brushed' finish.

easy answer. gv.
sorry exp fans, but that is the only sport (is it a sport rolex?) rolex which does nothing for me. i like understatement and simplicity but it is just a bit too much of those.

Darn, that is a tough ?. I agree with Zak98, if the GV mil-goose was brushed, it would be an easier choice. So I say get the goose and brush it.

I really like the Milgauss and almost bought one a couple years ago. Though you can't go wrong with either one.

Milgauss, its nice having a Rolex that looks different than the other models. It's good to be different in my book.

Tough call...but I'd go with Explorer for now. Still a bit off about the Milgauss seconds hand.

I've bought both this year, gave my son the GV for graduating from engineering school. The Explorer is lower profile but has a much nicer bracelet.

The only reason I didnt pick the Big Explorer is because of the short hands...really bother me.

I think the seconds-hand on the Milgauss is dorky so I'd hve to go with the explorer.. the explorer is one of my faves anyway.

I vote for the Milguass GV, but the AD's in my area are treating it like a collector piece - no deals!! Probably easier to deal on the Explorer.

I voted for the Milgauss
I prefer the thicker case and the PCLs don't bother me.
39mm Exp is a great watch but of the 2, I'll take the Milgauss. ![]() |

Not a fan of the GV, not even a little bit. To me it looks like the motley costume of the court jester, or the harlequin character in commedia dell'arte. Too many jarring, discordant colors. No trace of elegance or refinement. Stay with the Explorer I, it is very elegant and understated.
