Too late for this dial
Had the dial been a MKII meters first there might be some who would argue it correct but since the dial has the earmarks of a MKI (Long curvy F with Submariner slightly left of the depth rating) I would not expect it on a 2,7XX,XXX case.

Do you think it could really be a 2.1 mil case, and the owner thought the 1 was a 7?

Conrail that is funny. Michael, yes I think that a 2.7 serial is too late for a meters first dial even though as is commonly heard: "with Rolex nothing is set in stone." I wouldn't want to be the new owner of that watch trying to explain how the dial was correct when those knowledgeable thought otherwise. I would play it safe instead.

The seller did such a good job of photographing the watch too! Two words come to mind on this watch: RUN QUICKLY

Seller stated (The dealer stated that someone had "washed" the face, indicating that the glowing numbers part of the dial no longer had its glowing stuff.) To me this says the dial is bad in other words semi worthless.Somebody paid $7750 for a watch with 2 crappy pics and that needs a dial? The watches on the forums that have pictures look like a steal then......lol

Someone made off over a great deal today and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the buyer.
