382 bronze diver

I just read on timezone that Mr James Dowling said the 382 will take quite some time, probalby decmeber for the boutiques.
So our AD won't get them this year

That's the only thing I hate about Panerai.

They show us great watches at SIHH in the beginning of the year and than you need to wait 1 year

Wouldn't it be better to show that watch at SIHH 2012 and than start delivery within one month
Don't show us watches you can't deliver yet !!!

Not sure about other manufactures, however that happens even with Rolex. New models aren't usually availible until the fall.

It may just be the typical way things happen in the watch world. Reveal the new models at Basel or SIHH, promote the heck out of it, then make it availible later in the year.

i honest dont see any issues with "releasing" the 382s to the boutiques.... not that they will be displayed at all. from what i have gathered, most of them have been snapped up as soon as SIHH unveiled it earlier this year. big time collectors are the ones to blame

as much as i'd like one, i just dont think i'd spend more than the MSRP for it

Hopefully that's not the case with other models...

I was told this morning by two boutiques in China that they cannot get in PAM 382 at all (at least for the time being) due to customs issue. They are saying that the bronze material has somehow been classified for "military" use in China therefore Panerai cannot get the approval for importation as yet. This is non-sense.

I am sure that there are a lot of potential buyers in China for PAM 382 and they are ready for the big premium to secure one.

Yip,great offerings at SIHH 2011.Prices even affordable,BUT whether your AD gets one and whether he want to sell it to you,is another question. He has MANY good clients that want that "special" Panerai.

Plat DD II...you have the money, you order it through the AD,you get it.Simple.Wearing my DSSD and Ploprof these days.

That's the way panerai operates... It's one of the reasons that popular models command such much $$$ in the resale market.

well i'm sure you have gotten used to the system in China by now.

you are lucky that the composite material is not classified (maybe for military stealth use). hahahahaha

isn't almost every Panerai or Rolex a hit in China

I'm from Europa and I am amazed to see how many Asian people visit Europe and buy all the watches and LV handbags

well it's a plus point that the euro dollar is slightly weak but the tax refund is definitely a plus point for shoppers coming to Europe.
