Nomos is a great brand, and you can get them with totally in-house movements (aside from a few screws and a mainspring, which most in-house makers outsource). It's the frugal (or "poor" I guess, but I don't mean to imply it's the watch version of a Tech9) man's answer to desiring a G.O. or A.L.&S. The Watch Snob over at Askmen.com will tell you there is no good watch to be had in the $1k-$3k USD range, but then he himself will sidestep that for a Nomos. Very nice pieces.

For my money, the Tangomat is the one I'd want.

Love NOMOS. I have the sundial but will likely pick up a Zurich at some point.
