No wanted posts for new members - Why?
Hi All,
I understand the rule that i can't post to the wanted until 16 days and 16 posts. I can see why this would be the case on the for sale - you want to try and ensure that posts are from valid community sellers. Whats the reason for this on the wanted board? I'm keen to commence the hunt for my first rolex and would seek one on here rather than ebay. Cheers, Mike |

I have also wondered on this rule: I've been "lurking" for awhile to learn more about the different models I'm particularly interested and see what the going prices are for those models. Now that I'm ready to pull the trigger on my first one, I've found I could not post a WTB thread until I make 16 posts.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but the rule was put in place to protect everyone on TRF.

16 days / posts is not a very tough milestone, is it?

Further to what has already been said above....relaxing the rule in relation to WTB may result in guys wanting to buy and offering trades when they don't really want to buy anything, so it could be a way to sell indirectly.....
Don't worry there are good reasons for all the rules, even if they are not patently apparent.
