deflation???? anyone????

anyone see deflation in luxury goods or clothing????

seems like jewerly cannot be unloaded fast enough.

No - that was 2009. Look at sub prices - you could get a stainless sub for $5,000 back then. Now, you're lucky to get one for $7,500. I went to buy a ring at a typical mall jeweler and there was no gold around - all silver, P4, and maybe 10k "gold" for a hugely inflated price. Remember when you could get gold at walmart?

Luxury goods? No deflation detected - in fact the number of millionaires and billionaires in US is rising.

The number of people who have to sell their jewelry is increasing as their unemployment coverage is expiring at end of 2011 - so they're monetizing it. But most of it is bought for scrap gold and breakup of precious stones. No impact on the luxury lines IMHO.
