Many presidents from Dwight D Eisenhower's term to Ronald Regan's term wore Rolex Day Dates.

I dont know why Bush never learned from his predecessors...

And yes Jimmy Carter sure did leave his mark. Inflation was at a all time high those years.

Bush wears a $50 Timex..........google it. I think Clinton wore a similarly inexpensive watch..........digital style with pushbuttons. I just googled it. A $50 Timex Indiglo, inscribed on the back: President George Bush january 20, 2001. Vladimir Putin wears a $60,000 Patek Phillipe, worth his annual salary.

I think your source is: PRAVDA!

If it is to be believed, the only person mentioned in the article with good taste is Roman Abramovich.

Now what do you think the first subs were they were all non date with the introduction in 1954 of the 6204.This model lasted just two years replaced by the 6538/36 and a older movement model with the A296/775 movement ref 6200.Then the 5510, 5512,5513 all non date which ran till the late 1980s .Now in 1965 the biggest upgrade to the Sub a date version with the new cal 1565 ref 1680 .

Yes Rolex is becoming very expensive, if it keeps up at this rate I will be a vintage collector of what I currently own as I will not pay over 6k for a sub style Rolex. It is not worth that type of money.

I would go back in time and instead of buying a vintage daytona I'd invest in Microsoft and would be able to buy the whole of Switzerland today.
