Red Line 7000 - Cosmograph

What can I say about this movie. I had a delightful two hours, my wife rolled her eyes so much I thought they'd detach.

Red Line 7000 on NetFlix

An early James Caan as a NASCAR driver. Tons of mid-60's NASCAR footage, better than I've seen on some archive shows. The shots of the '63-'65 Fords and Mercurys had me swooning. Real racing on real tracks. A pre-Star Trek George Takai???

Where else will you see a real Shelby GT350 doing laps on a real dirt track?

Where else will you see CSX2601, an original Shelby Daytona Coupe, stuck in a ditch? It was just a used sports car at the time, perfect for a prop. No one knew it would later sell at auction for $7.25 million.

Norman Alden as the team manager. Later, you'd know him as Lou from Lou's diner in the "Back to The Future" movies.

Richard Petty driving a rare right-hand drive Plymouth (?).

And Norm times a promising young driver using this watch (Screen caps courtesy of NetFlix on iPad):
