Yachtmaster two tone

I have a friend that got a YM four years ago but its too flashy for him. I asked him about it and he said he would sell it to me for a 1000.00. I asked him to send me pics but some are blurry. It has the green sticker on the back of the case still. I asked about bracelet stamped and he told me 62789 also pin holes on each side on lugs. Im trying to find out if its real. He mentioned a pawn shop would offer him 2200.00.

Your friend either has absolutely no idea what he has, or he knows exactly what he is doing. But it's pretty hard to help you based on just an explanation alone.

Do you have any pictures?

You will most probably need to post pictures in the Watch Out section if you want a good answer but given the fact 1 000$ cannot even get you a SS Datejust (most of the times at the very least) I would doubt about its authenticity or consider this man to be a very good friend!

Those blurry pictures don't really help the case...I would definitely stay away from it!

EDIT: Unless I'm mistaken that dial really doesn't look right.

Yes i know does the 62789 say anything? Also isnt there not suppose to be lug holes for this type of watch? Also he says the Yachtmaster on the dial is in black not red. Wouldnt the crown be white gold or SS not yellow gold?

Even with those horrible pictures, it's clearly a fake piece of crap!!!

Moved to the watchout section where it belongs, and I suggest you rethink your relationship with that "friend", as that watch (if that's what you want to call it!) is not worth 10 cents!!!
