Sub ND discount?

Hi all,

So I was in my AD today and was chatting with them, he told me they have a "new old stock" 14060 in the vault. Retail is around 6300 correct?

I am wondering if since the watch is "new old stock", what kind of discount do you think I could get away with? Or where should I start I guess, I mean the worst they can do is say no and counter, but any input would be great!

A nice pre-owned 14060 can be found for about 3500. I would seriously consider going pre-owned if I were you.

They can be found on this forum, just buy from a trusted seller.

I agree. I picked up Z series for $3800 in mint condition, sold that to a co-worker and picked up a V series for $4800 in mint condition with warranty.

find out a little more about the watch and the deal. i'm curious.

still, i agree with others. buy pre-owned and save a lot of money.

As far as I remember a 14060 (non M) dates back to <1999.

The MRSP back in the day would have been around $2500, though a NOS with all the plastics might be interesting to the collector in the distant future.

$6000 seems far too much, even if it is NOS.

I agree Paul, but unfortunately it's current listed MSRP is $6300 though.

Why would an AD have a 12 year old watch in the vault

For what you can buy pre-owned, here in the classfieds, I would think anymore than $5,000 would be too much for that watch.

So, would it have all the warranty and paperwork filled out by the AD and you'll have the 2 year warranty

If it's NOS it will be new, and it there should be no reason why it shouldn't have everything. Since it is new it will have a 2 year warranty.

Some models just don't sell as well as others. Some ADs have issues getting rid of some watches from time to time.

it appears list price for the 14060 is US$6300.

Royal Maui (AD) in San Diego at the mall was going to sell my wife a random serial 14060M for $5k ...

We didn't buy, but instead purchased a M Sea Dweller instead for the same price (no tax - in Oregon), but the ND Sub price was good indeed. You might try them.

You got a SD for the same price?? Wow, for that price range that's what I would hVe went with also.

The reason I am considering this though, is I have bought from the grey market before (my grey market dealer is one of the best I hVe vet met too. Douglas Sui from Time Honored in Stockton,ca) , have since sold that and am looking for a newer sub. I have never bought anything brand new from an AD and it really excites me thinking about it. Haha

Say it's 5-6 years old(not sure though), would 20% be too high?

They also just received the brand new sub date with GOld dial. It has the same look of the LV (LV in the model name), but I guess it has a gold (tinted,stained?) green dial and green bezel. Anyone seen this? It's 500 more than the regular sub, do 8500.

Yes this is the 116610LV or SubLV, it's been out for a couple of years now.

I was told this is not the "anniversary" model though. He was saying it just came out though..

That's correct the anniversary model is the 16610LV. Some will say that it isn't truly the aniversary model unless you get one from 2003.

I personally have a 16610LV from 2008 and it works just fine for me. The 16610LV was the previous version and it didn't have a green dial, bigger case, or improved clasp.
