Rolex SKY-DWELLER?

Trademarked by Rolex in March of 2011.

What is it?

Stay tuned to Baselworld 2012

Many companies trademark names vaguely similar to their current brands.

Ex: Intel had a chip brand - Pentium. They had also trademarked Sextium...doubt they would have used that one, eh?

And over the past 50 odd years many many more some were used and still used today, but many gone like the Space dweller and now mostly forgotten.

The big companies have departments who are just busy with registration of 'names'.
Just like Apple iWhatever . . .

I'll agree with this.. The only thing they have to work with here is the GMT... What "beefing" would it need to be come a "Sky Dweller" ??

(ok, ok... maybe a 42mm GMT )

Maybe i'm negative, but im thinking just a re-hash of some of the familiars :)

But maybe we'll be surprised by the new Rolex Solar. A mechanical escapement with a solar pannel insert that activates a gear that jump starts the movement after the depletion of the power reserve

What about a watch called the Safe-Dweller?

You can keep the watch in a safe, keep the stickers and Tags on (they are permanently affixed) and never have to wear the watch at all.

Talk about resale value.

Oh...the average discount you can expect at an AD on the stainless version of the Safe-Dweller is 2.85% ;-)
