I just spot this video on Youtube. At first, I don't like it much. But the turning of Bezel can adjust date and local time is amazing. One of the best design is the month and the recognition of 30 and 31.

Okay!

That helps to make sense of the watch and it sounds like a masterful movement with a lot of capabilities.

Those who longed for more complicated movements should be pleased, although I don't think this was the kind of grand complication they had in mind.

So, while a few minutes ago, I was quite flabbergasted, now I see the light.

It is quite ingenious. It is quite functional. It is not a grotesquely large watch. It is an elegant design and it is will be very expensive.

What I thought might be a "fail," may just be the most interesting and useful watch for a limited demographic to emerge from Rolex in a very long time.

It's on the website:

Thanks for posting.

I think the GMT inner ring still looks a bit funky and the month indicator is a bit unusual but kind of neat.

I do like that it includes an annual calendar though.

I think it needs winding crown lugs & some kind of rotating bezel. It looks more like a dress watch.

It is only available in solid gold and has an extremely complex movement. A better guess would be closer to the $34,000 USD mark.

They both like it because they are paid to like it. Plus, they got their Sky-Dwellers for FREE.

I'll admit the video makes the watch a bit cooler...

If it came in SS I would order one now. I don't think there is much future in paying MRSP for a gold model.

I think is will be a long time before we see it in SS.
Nice to see a Rolex Annual calendar, and a whole new movement.

I think the following will improve the styling:
A) Centralising the 24 Hour Disk, will make the Dial more balanced.
B) Have rome for Full Numerals all around the dial.
C) Moving the Red Triangle Marker to the inner disk with the Triangle turned upside down.

What do other members think?

With those complications, in gold, I would peg it at $50k or more considering a President is $30+

The video makes it much better IMO. Everyone, including me, is upset because it's not what we thought it would be. By the time it gets released there will be a long waiting list. Guess Rolex was making more complex watches when I started a thread on it 2 days ago (I'm not claiming I guessed it, just a lucky question.) Too bad all those "inside sources" saying a new Pepsi was WRONG. ROFL
