Why do I like this watch so much? (Speedy content)

I have no idea why I like this watch so much?

- It has no date.
- Movement doesn't hack.
- Winding is not-so-easy because the crown doesn't stick out very much.
- Its not very water resistant.
- No applied indices.
- No white gold or polished hands.

Why? :)

I have no idea, perhaps because it is simply stunning despite missing a couple of things?

Great pictures! I love the Speedmaster Professional!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...if I could only have one watch forever, it would be the Speedie. I absolutely love mine to bits. Mine is currently at Omega for service and I miss it...a lot.

Enjoy yours. She's a beauty.

It's funny, I hate chrono's but love my Speedy Pro. There is just something about it that makes it so special. The Speedy Pro is the only chrono I would even consider on my wrist, and it also just so happens to be one of my most favorite watches of all time.

EXACTLY...what makes it so unique in this day and age are its timeless looks, retro appearance. Not even considering the history of the watch, its "warm" dome, clean lines, and legibility make it STAND OUT amongst "luxury" watches...even more so amongst chronos. Truly a watch lover's watch. Pure and classic and sharp.

so true.
i typically need a date on my watch but I will make an exception for the old speedy.
would love to get the New coaxial speedmaster with the calibre 9300 movement
it may be the perfect watch but is it worth the 8k price tag?
