14060M help needed!!!

Looking to buy a NEW 14060M sub today, and I need help the Authorized dealer is asking for 5,500 + tax. I didn't get the chance to get the Serial of the watch but somehow if anyone can give me any advice what should I be getting, and does it still have an Anchor just like the older version? Stuff like that. Thanks!

The anchors ended years ago - around 2007 if my memory is correct.

$5,500 sounds reasonable for BNIB.

$5500 is an excellent price. MSRP was $6300 when I bought mine in November 2011.

Forget about the anchor.

Anchors disappeared years ago. Price sounds ok (compared to what they were asking in Oz). What's the serial number? Is it a 4 line or 2 line dial? I honestly believe the 4 line versions of these are going to be very sought after in the future. They were the last evolution of the 'classic' sub and were only around for a couple of years and didn't sell very well..

Where can you still get the anchors, by the way?

I got quoted $6,300 for brand new 14060M.

I've been told that anchors show up on the bay from time to time.

That sounds like a pretty good deal if it is complete, BNIB and from an AD. Grab it!

For $5500 BNIB jump on it !

Around here ADs are firm at $6350 because it's a discontinued model.

Two line vs four line refers to the lines of writing on the bottom half of the dial. azguys pic is a two line for example. A four line has two additional lines that read "superlative chronometer officially certified" below the Submariner 1000ft 300m.

The four lines started appearing around 2005 (?)

If my AD had offered it at $5500, I would have bought it on the spot. They wouldn't budge from $6300.
