Favorite design features between the Seamaster & Planet Ocean
Seamaster vs. Planet Ocean? I have to admit my PO is getting more wrist time than my 5513. I love the history of the 5513, but the PO size and bracelet are more comfortable. I am in the market for my next diver, but which one?
What are your favorite features of either Submariner or Planet Ocean? |

Shouldn't your header be "Favorite design features between the Submariner & Planet Ocean''?
I prefer the Sub's new ceramic bezel to the liquid metal of the PO and the Sub's bracelet. Otherwise, I think the new PO 8500 has the edge - it's cheaper, has a better movement with longer power reserve, offers a 4-year guarantee, has a display caseback and goes twice as deep as the Sub. |

I have alot of respect for this forum and the Members. I understand the mix up in the subject but have a problem with this new members name. Whatever reason this person has for joining the Forum with that name is in very poor taste.

I love the contours of the Seamaster case used on the Planet Ocean (and many others in the Omega range), the movement is sublime, the heft is what I want from a diver's watch, and the dial and handset are really unusual
As for the Submariner, if we're talking classic Subs, I like the common sense engineering, and the subtle bevelling on classic Oyster cases. On the new one, I think the clasp is superb |

The PO has several design features that I find appealing including the broad arrow handset, the liquid metal option, and the coax movement. Time will tell on the movm't but theoretically it offers an advantage over traditional movements. Its on my list.
In the Seamaster line I actually prefer the older models with the sword hands. I just find the skeleton hands difficult to read. |

I'd go Seamaster instead of Planet Ocean. Especially a Pro model that combines some functions of the Sub + Daytona + Date. Like this one (not my pic)
