Rolex's Stainless Steel Bracelet

Hi all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Rolex manufactures the best stainless steel bracelets for their watches. Anyone disagree? The quality and the design is superb. The glidelock clasp is a brilliant cool idea. What do ya'll think? If not, which other watch brands makes em better?

IMHO the new omega po bracelets are better. They feel very well built, sturdy, and just beefier than my SubC and my DSSD bracelet. I also think the clasp is better but I'll call it a tie with a Sub because the omega po clasp has no micro adjustment. I also think the VC Overseas, AP RO and ROO, and PP Nautilus have better bracelets.

I have the Rolex Submariner 114060, and the Vacheron Constantin Overseas, and the VCO has the most amazing bracelet I've ever seen, and is extraordinarily comfortable. I have to admit however that the Glidelock clasp is very nice, but the rest of the bracelet is excellent but not extraordinary.

IWC makes some pretty sweet bracelets.

The clasps on Rolex now are consistently very strong - it's hard to find anything that even comes close to Glidelock. Just a shame that the movement doesn't match up to all the effort they put in on the Sub/Deepsea

do the new omega bracelets still use friction pins for links? if so, the upper hand is still Rolex.

No, they've started to use pins secured by screws. It's a clever design to reduce wear, also makes the bracelets feel more solid. They've made the change on most popular models

ok. then as much as a diehard rolex fan as i am, i have to give the upperhand to omega. truthfully speaking, my omega seamaster (with friction pins!) had the most comfortable bracelet i have ever worn on a watch. ever. i can only imagine what the new ones are like.

on that note, i think i'll hit my local watch dealer and check them out...

Aesthetically, nothing beats the Oyster bracelet.

Functionally, there are a lot of GREAT ones out there.

Go to your local IWC AD and you will see the best bracelets on the market, especially the new ones.

IWC is the MOST adjustable bracelet. Period. Tudor's new Pelagos bracelet is also a cool design.

This. Each link on the "beads of rice" bracelet on my Doppelchrono has a little springloaded button, that you push in with one tool and then push out the unlocked pin with the other. I almost want to "play" with it, its so cool, rather than just adjusting the bracelet. Love the oyster, but the IWC, at least the old bracelets, are the most fantastic blend of art and engineering I've ever seen on a watch bracelet.

I completely agree, the Rolex oyster has the look that is copied by many others, but my 93150 bracelets do wear out and stretch, which can't be easily fixed. They are comfortable, However the most comfortable stainless steel bracelets I've tried on are:

Breitling Mount Olympus
Omega Seamaster/planet ocean
Ulysis Nardine Chronometer
Ralph Lauren - sport/Hunting edition w/pv black coating

Yes, that clasp in the Tudor is really interesting, especially the spring loaded dynamic adjustment mode.

I'm going to put Breitling into the pot here. The Pro I bracelets from Breitling are very comfortable as well - I'm referring to the Ti versions as I'm speaking from experience.
