new member question
Hello, I was a lurker and and joined the forum not long ago. I am sure I missed the information someplace, but for some reason I am not allowed to post to a member who has an item in the "for sale section"? Is there a reason for this?
Thanks! |

Sperry, I did not find that information during my initial search.

I kind of like the rule, and the for sale rules in general. I'm on other forums where this isn't the case and it gets abused. Sellers have their cronies come in with "nice offering" and "shouldn't last long at this price" posts to get around the bumping rules. It gets out of hand to where guys that follow the rules never see their offering better than page 10 for a couple of minutes. If you want to communicate with the seller it's simple enough to do it via a PM. I also like that the asking price stays up even after an item is sold. Provides a lot more market research when you're shopping for something. On some other boards the standard practice is for the seller to remove the asking price and replace it with "SOLD" (i.e. they allow unlimited editing). |

Its clearly stated just a inch or so above your thread post asking why, all you have to do is use your eyes and look and read the forum rules

T.Ferguson- makes sense especially for people like me who do not know the market, having the price stay in the ad helps for research.
