Hello. Aside from the obvious, can you please advise the difference between the two models? I want to know everything please. Thanks.

Except for the FIXED bezel in the Exp-II, all else is the same, including the 3185 movment.

Ah yes, another small difference - the Exp-II is 39 mm as opposed to the 40 mm of the GMT-II.

I´ve heard the new GMT have Cal 3186, correct?

So just tell the guy all differences between a ExpII and a GMTIIc.

The info I've given you above is for the older GMT-II compared with the Exp-II. I think that's pretty spot on!!

So both GMTII (not C) and ExpII have double lock, and setting the 24hr is the same? How about bracelet, link, and clasp, all the same?

Yes, all else identical - same OYSTERLOCK bracelet with 13 original links, same everything, same system of setting the independently movable hour hand, same clasp - all identical, except for the fixed bezel and case diameter.

Sorry, I know this is off topic but how many links, excluding the extention link and end pieces, should come with an oyster flip-lock bracelet on a Submariner?

9 all up on the '12' side and 4½ all up on the '6' side.

Another difference:

The Explorer II comes with two dial options: White and black.

The GMT II (16710) comes with a black dial ONLY.

I wonder if bezel is removed, would we find the exp II has the hole for the spring clip so a GMT II bezel can be inserted? I will be really impressed if they're different. Its certainly more economical to machine one case and insert different accessories.
