If I had one watch it would have a date. Just so convenient.

I believe the resale value is tremendous with the date. Even though the same watches, the diff in desirability is tremendous ... looks like most want the date.....

tools, date is important and the sub is a great everyday watch, but i have 3 watches with dates and 2 without..
really cant decide, i love the one with no date because it has a much more classic look to it.. but on the other hand like u said the date is convenient |

both
Unless the date is quick change the date is a chore. If you wear it everyday then date is OK because you don't need to change it. If you wear that Rolex once or twice a week/month, then the date needs changed everytime. CHORE |

If the non date is a chronometer movement.... I vote non date, very clean, very basic.

I looked at one without a date but its dial looked very blank. It is nice to have that writing on it "certified chronometer" which is missing on the no-date sub.
But I am thinking of buying it soon. I have the date SS sub and a seadweller, so I want to complete the sports series with this sub-nodate model ..... |

For me personally, a watch has to have a date.

I've always loved the DATE model which is what I went for. Love that cyclops. But the no date is a classic too. You can't go wrong either way!

I would go for the sub date since I need a date complication in all my watches. Love the 14060, but just missing the date - used to have the 14060 - didn't like the cyclops so I replaced it with the Sea-Dweller. I know in the world of pocket technologies, they all tell you the date, but I'm sooo used to looking at my watch for the date.

I'm not a cyclops fan, I think it looks "added-on". If I had to have a date on my watch, I would go SD, or have the crystal replaced with a non-cyclops.

I did a resale comparison which I posted in another thread, based on eBay auctions...
Anyway, the Date and ND subs depreciate almost exactly the same amount, percentage wise. So, this isn't really much of an issue. |

I've always had a date feature on all my watches, so its a learned dependency with me. But I like the cyclops' appearance, too!

They both look great, but I'll have to cast my vote for the date.

I voted non-date as well. Its just so clean and classic a look with a elegance of symmetry.

Date for me. I just got to have a date on my watch. Apart from that, I prefer the SELs and the better constructed diver extension on the Sub Date. However, I do really appreciate the clean, classic look of the no date sub. The non-COSC that is.
