71 days later... I finally got it!!! SD 16600

Talk about anticipation! In light of turning 40, my 10th wedding anniversary, and a successful career move, my wife gave me the best gift.... she allowed me to Pull the trigger on D serial SD16600. I wired money to trusted seller djemmtee Mike Tang on January 28th 2013. It arrived at a location in NYC in February. I had to wait until this weekend to receive it in Canada. It was a long 71 days... Thank god I could get my fix the great shots of the sd on this forum. Hows this for a rolex moment? I was heading out to meet friends in Toronto, wearing my Rolex for the first time, and while walking to the restaurant i ended up walking by a Rolex store. I had no idea it was there? it was as though the watch brought me there;). I recall posting right after sending the money that I was feeling a little sick about having spent so much on a watch. I can tell you today that it was money well spent! Great watch.

I bought mine new in 1999. It's now one of many watches I have acquired over the years but one that will not be sold. I have been wearing it on a Rubber B for the past week or so. I still love this watch.

You made a great choice. The SD is a timeless classic.

Congrats from Kauai!
Did not know there was a London in Canada.
Anyway enjoy my friend and welcome to the club. You might just the fever and purchase one for your wife next. I can see her with a beautiful white dial Roman numeral DJ next to your SD! Hahahahahahaha
Aloha from Kauai.

Great pictures -- what a fantastic watch. I have one and like it (very much) but sometimes it takes a couple of good pictures to remind me of how nice it is.

I like the newer ceramics (in a way) but the 16600 is an all business, tool watch that no one would mistake for a fashion accessory.
