It is claimed,

“FULLY SERVICED AT ROLEX SERVICE CENTER 1 YEAR AGO.100% ORIGINAL”

This is interesting.

I don't see anything wrong with this watch. Probably original 1680 sent in RSc that is pitted or rusted that would compromise water tightness thus the replacement case. 4.4m is a replacement case from RSC and thus the ORIG ROLEX DESIGN engraving above the reference. It makes sense as the dial and hands are service lumi replacement. The earlier batch of service lumi dials still has the T SWISS<25 below the 6 even though it's lumi lumed. As with Rolex, I'm not surprised they just slapped on a 5512 caseback as a replacement caseback for this piece.

for what seen ...

Rolex has no more replacement backs punched "1680" or "5513" since the end of the 90s, so all backs for these models are replaced with these signed "5512".
in any case not a watch " in pristine conditions " ( to say the least ).

If it were to sell at the right price, I would love to have it as an everyday watch

I can't tell from the pictures but it doesn't look like a high hat to me. Wonder why he didn't post the service invoice?

Funny to see that the seller (who must know the replacement story) does not disclose it.

I agree.. it's a beautiful watch even though it is a complete service "restoration" w/service case, dial, hands, bezel..

I don't' like the idea that he claims it is "100% Original" - It may be authentic Rolex, but it's not "original" at all..

no it's original as ...

there aren't fake parts .. the question is that is not consistent at all to the time of production.
15 years ago .. most people were not aware of this " concept " and everything was fine if original ... now the market has grown and there is a big difference..
exactly same thing you find in the old cars market ...

If he divulged what it is, there wouldn't be many bidders. While it has original replacement parts, it has lost most of its collectors value which is the driving force in pricing vintage Rolex or any collectible for that matter.
