GMT II Oyster Bracelet

This is from another thread in the general discussion but so far, I've not managed to find an answer to my query below! Thought it might do better in the watch tech section, grateful for any input.

Could someone in the know explain the exact changes to the Oyster bracelet on brand new models, recently flipped my GMTc for a BLNR and although I have the same number of links fitted as my old watch, the sizing feels somewhat different, tried various setups and not sure I can get the fit exactly right!! Admittedly think the hot weather is affecting the judgement on the sizing but hey, sounds like I'm not going crazy based on the above comments and a design change!!

I seem to have noticed a slight rise in the solid end links! Also are newly supplied watches meant to include a half link, as I'm not sure I got one, obviously any photos or comments would be helpful, many thanks!
