Rolex Freaks
What's the most hardcore thing you ever did for a rolex?

Investing my hard-earned money on Rolex watches where I could have spent the money on for example paying out my mortgage.

Thanks! Well, giving up smoking to get your first Rolex as you did was awesome! Respect for that!

Not hardcore......but...I am waiting on my Black Bezel GMT to come in any day. I had it sent to my office and we are closed for Mardi Gras so I went riding through the neighborhood today looking for the mail man. I was hoping he had my watch! I could not find him..... so I went to the post office to have it tracked and found out it has not reached New Orleans yet. Man the wait is killing me!

My siding is the most ugly yellow you would see. It's from the 70's and the last time we had a wind storm a piece blew off...lol.
No worries, on Sat after I left the AD's ordering the GMT my tax guy called and told me I would be getting a hugh refund...see how things work? I am always being taken care of:) |

Me, I just waited 46 years before picking up my first! Really, for most these watches are indulgences and the money could probably be put to more practical uses, but I derive so much pleasure from wearing a quality mechanical like a Rolex that I don't care.
Life is short and you can't take it with you. Live a little. |

I went to undergrad for 4 years, then medical school for another 4 years.... before I finally got my Rollie. Glad I did though!
Good job on the quitting of tobacco, Velitsko!

I have done an oil-change wearing a s/s daytona,
wearing it was better than putting it on the greasy work bench! nothing happened, but would not do it again! |
