Breitling vs Breitling for Bentley

Some questions for you breitling people...

1. Can someone explain to me what the purpose of breitling for Bentley is?

2. Is Breitling for Bentley considered better than just normal breitling watch?
Or looked down apron?

3. I know there are usually more expensive but is that because they are better
watches or just because the name Bentley

Thanks

Breitling for Bentley is the same as the normal Breitling. It just happens to have Bentley on the dial. Just a special edition/cooperation between the two brands. Parmigiani did the same with Bugatti, Girard-Perregaux and Panerai did the same with Ferrari, TAG Heuer did the same with Mercedes-Benz and the list is much longer than that. It is not frowned upon at all, but there is the fact that very few watch brands have successful cooperations with watch brands (based upon the after market that is). I personally think Breitling and Bentley are one of the few cooperations that actually work, and I like the models. Nevertheless, considering grey market, they are way too expensive at AD prices. But they are definitely nice. So yes, they are not better than other Breitlings, but a retail prices just slightly more expensive. If you were to get one, buy used. Hope that helps.

I agree! I really like the Breitling for Bentley styling and how Breitling incorporates Bentley styling into the watches. My personal opinion is, next to the Navitimer, the are the best looking Breitlings. However, with the exception of the one Barnato 42, they are massive.

I think Breitling for Bentley are beautiful watches. Not sure if B. for Bentley are of better qualities. Movement wise I think they are using the same movement. The higher selling prices might due to the fact that Brietling wanted to position the watch on a higher (more exclusive) tier of market.

I think that everyone hit the nail on the head. One thing I do like about them, is that they do not scream bentley IMO. I would find it odd to wear a Panerai made for Ferrari, because it is an all black face with a glaring yellow ferrari logo on it.
