Rolex Spotting: Clapton in Basel 2013
Here's a link to a full Clapton concert; Basel 2013. Enjoy!
http://concert.arte.tv/de/baloise-session-eric-clapton EC is with a DJ II he's had for a while now - stick/silver dial? Chris Stainton, the keyboardist (without the hat) seems to also be wearing a DJ II? |

I cannot watch the entire show right now but going quickly through it I can tell it's going to be a good one! With Andy Fairweather-Low and Chris Stainton you cannot go wrong.
Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for posting the link. I recall him discussing his watch habit in his book (expensive Pateks, etc.). It is interesting that he wears pretty basic Rolex models as daily wearers. I remember he wore a white-dial EXP II for a couple of years not too long ago.
It is always fun to watch him play. My favorite periods of his were '65-'70 and '88-'92. I have a '89 Fender Clapton strat in "7-UP Green," and although I'm no musician, it is fun to hit a few good notes on that thing. |

He's been wearing mostly Rolex for a long time. Though I have seen pictures with him and his platinum Patek 2499 - that was sold at auction. Clapton sold a lot of his pieces, including many collector's items through Christie's a few years back. I did notice the white dial EXP II - which I think he also recently sold at auction. |
