Accuracy of New SubC
Hi, all. So, it has been about 2 days since I got my SubC. Just wanted to let you know that the accuracy of the watch is the best of any I have had right out of the box ... minus 0.5 secs. over a 2 day period. I think that's pretty impressive. I will wait for it to settle in a bit and see whether this continues. I know, I know, I must be nuts to be interested in this type of information, much less monitoring timing accuracy. Maybe I should join "WISA' (Watch Idiot Savants Anonymous) ... Hello, my name is Randy, and I'm a WIS.

I check my accuracy often. I have a timegrapher so it makes it a little easier.

I check my accuracy quite often too so you are not alone. I've had my sub about 2.5 months now and it avg about +2 seconds. I think thats pretty remarkable.

I find that having an accurate watch (+2 or better) makes ownership more enjoyable.

Hi, I've had my SubC since September and it still runs consistently +5 secs a day from the day I got it. This is very impressive consistency and the +5 seconds a day doesn't bother me at all.
Wow, what a timepiece, my other watches have become very dusty!, |

Just kidding. As you can probably tell, I don't pay too much attention to the second hand once I'm comfortable that a new acquisition is accurate enough it doesn't need regulation. It goes into the stable and that's that. If it stay good to the minute, it's pretty much good AFAIC. My wearing habits probably have something to do with my attitude. I'll rotate every week or three. So as long as it is accurate to the minute for that length of time I don't worry about it. Once it's switched out for the next piece it's going to come to a stop anyway so it will have to be reset no matter how accurate it is.

Check its mainspring as well. Its hard to not wear a new watch but you really need to know what its power reserve is for future tests.

I use http://time.is/
Both of my new Sub C are +1/day max. When I am not wearing one the other is on my winder.
