Thank you for letting me join your wonderful forums! I have too many watches and I desperately need someone to talk me out of a new Rolex Submariner two tone with the Serti dial. I've got a 20 year old TT Rolex Datejust in great condition, a Breitling ChronoAvenger M1, a Breitling Emergency Professional, and a new Tag Heuer Link series watch. I have a small army of Citizen and Casio (blasphemy!) watches as well. I need the Sub like a hole in the head and I knew you people would understand. Anyway, thanks for letting me hang around.

Welcome to the group!!

I've got a Date Just and Day Date (both bought last year) and I'm trying not to give into the temptation of buying a SS/YG Submariner with the blue face/bezel - they're just stunning.

Have a great time on the site - I only joined last week.

Regards,

Neil.

Thank you everyone for your warm welcomes. I hear what you're saying. I knew you would be my kind of crowd! My son was with me when I bought my last watch and looked me square in the eye and said "Now Dad, tell me just why you Need ANOTHER watch". Needless to say I didn't ask him about my contemplated new purchase. How in the world did I raise such a pragmatic child?

Well, I did it! Just bought the 18K and SS Submariner with the Blue face and blue bezel (I believe it is #16613). They did not have the Serti dial one and I decided that I liked the blue face just as much and saved $2000 in the process. I Love It! Thanks for your comments. Looks like I'll be hanging around with you guys for a while. I paid $7045 before taxes and $7395 with taxes. I had been reading about the increase on this forum which kind of hastened my purchase but they seemed unaware of any recent or future increases. The price I paid was the price they quoted me 3 weeks ago.
