Yes, No, or Maybe?
Because of my OCD, I need to have validation on what I am ready to do..
I am fortunate enough to have probably one of the best gray market dealers around, he deals in massive amounts of high end watches, and from time to time, I get the Rolex fever...that being said, I called him up last week, wanting a Submariner, Date, Ceramic...he had 3 in stock, all pre owned, and I bought one for 6200.00... i love the watch....but.....I start thinking, I would REALLY love the DEEPSEA...So fast forward...I called him today, and he said he had a new in the box DeepSea, 25 percent of list, which is 9k, and he will buy back my Ceramic for what I paid..... I know this is a great deal...but this is the part where I need people to chime in , and give me the pros and cons... |

After reading my long bloated post, it looks like what I am tring to say is.... Is 9k for a brand new, in the box, with the full Rolex warranty a good deal?

Great price on a great watch. Love the DSSD! Put the Sub next to the DSSD and see which one you like better. For me, the DSSD was a no brainer. The domed crystal & clasp you can only get on the DSSD.

Wise choice. You will never look back. When I go into an AD and see the 116610 (which is a beautiful watch), it reminds me the right choice was made!

2) It's "Tools" 3) I don't think the OP's post falls within the type of posts described in that thread. That being said, OP: -Just take a look at the "For Sale" forum to get a sense of what people are selling a BNIB DSSD for as comparables -$9000 is a good buy PLUS he'll buy back your SubC Date at the price you paid? It's a no-brainer. Don't forget to post pics of the DSSD when you get it. |
